“I looked for a man among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so that I would not have to destroy it, but I found none” – Ezekiel 22:30.

Our dear and beloved friends in Christ,

We bring you the peace of God – Shalom. It is joy to contact you through this mail. We are enjoying God’s grace and peace in our life.

God speaks in various ways with the mankind. It is not always through gentle small voice. In the past twelve months the world is listening God’s roaring voice through the restlessness of nature. The Tsunami on 26th December 2004 was the beginning of these tragic events.

The down pour of rain in Switzerland created the floods which washed away railway tracks and thousands of homes. Cathrina devastated Texas of USA followed by Rita and Beta, Mumbai flooded in India, Massive Earth Quake in Pakistan, and heavy Rain fall in the southern parts of India.

The life in Nagapattinam is no more the same. The thousands of fishermen are yet to become normal. In this situation Nambikkai felt the need to give total rehabilitation. Two Mechanized metal Boats meant for deep-sea fishing were given to two fishermen at Samanthanpetai by the initiative taken by Nambikkai. The uniqueness of this event is that the part of the boat cast was met by The New Life Medical and Educational Trust and the rest of the amount was borne by the Tsunami victims themselves. The Boats were handed over to the fishermen in the presence of the district Collector.

On 8th to 10th October 2005 we had blessed Ministry at Mumbai organized by New Life Fellowship. Choodamani and I ministered in the New Life Fellowship worship service at Chembur. We shared in two meetings of New Life Fellowship Leaders. We were challenged in our faith life by the personal time we spent with the 76 years old veteran Pastor Joseph who is the founder of New Life Fellowship. He is the role model for Christian Leaders in his simple and humble life style.

Visit to the Holy Land:

Rahel, senior pastor in Switzerland is our family friend for 8 years. She invited us to join her along with a team of 15 members from Switzerland to participate in the Tabernacle Festival in ISRAEL. In the conference we enjoyed lively worship and challenging messages by speakers from different nations. Choodamani and I shared with the conference delegates how the Lord led us in our lives after Tsunami. We shared how the loss of our dear three children led to the formation of Nambikkai Home where 16 orphan children are living with us. We visited all the places related to the life of our Lord Jesus Christ. These historical places and the descriptions about them helped us to be rooted deeply in our faith life. We also had the privilege to share God’s word in the students’ conference organized by IFES movement in Israel.

US Explorers at Nambikkai:

“ US Explorer” is the ship carrying 700 students of University of San Diego as part of the “Semester at Sea”. These students spend 100 days in traveling around the world, visiting 9 countries. They were given 5 days to visit important places in India. Among them four students decided to visit Nambikkai Home at Nagapattinam. Jessica, Ryan, Charles and Lisa enjoyed wonderful times with the children at Nambikkai. They were challenged very much to hear about the testimony of Paramesvarans.

Nambikkai Family:

Along with Paramesvarans and the children there are eight friends to help in the “Nambikkai Home”. All of them are managing to live in the same house of Paramesvaran. The immediate need is to have a separate building to accommodate the children with basic facilities. We are also on the look out for a larger land where we can accommodate more children in the days to come.

The Transportation is another problem we are facing. We require one 4 wheeler for transporting the children to four different schools where they are studying. We need a 3 wheeler for purchase and other uses. We request you to pray for these needs. If you need further details, please write to us.

The attack continues:

While we were rejoicing after the Israel trip, we were disturbed by some unexpected happenings. Choodamani had a fall on the front door and got a deep cut on the forehead on 1st November. The very next day an 8 year old girl came running and fell in front of my car. She escaped with minor injuries and is still under treatment. Please pray that the Lord’s protection will be around our family.

Tsunami Memorial Meet:

We plan to organize a meeting for all the Tsunami victims and the public at Nagapattinam on 26th December 2005. Please pray that this meeting will bring real hope to thousands in this area.

I continue with my work with ONGC and Choodamani with LIC. Most of the weekends we go out for ministry. The free times in the week days are spent in the Nambikkai children’s home matters. Please pray that the Lord will give us His grace and strength needed for each situation.

We like to here from you. May the peace of God be with you always.

Yours in Christ Jesus
K. Paramesvaran
